The running of this site is totally outdated and retarded - conclusion after two minutes looking at competitors/peer sites.
They all offer a free service...but they also offer extra functionality for an annual fee.
I have signed up for this for RYM, LastFM and AOTY. The cost is insignificant for a user but could add up to a lot across a whole site.
I would sign up for this on Sput equivalent if it was well thought out and provided something neat and fun. Yes not everyone would, but that doesn't matter. It doesn't matter for those sites, but it does encourage development, attracting new users, and raising funds.
Dunno. Seems like clown time.
