|

you dig Atomizer and you can't even vibe to this guitar man??

atomizer has energy, i like the guitar playing but there's just not enough ideas here to justify the
track lengths

'that practically created the self-proclaimed genre of post-rock'
lol
|
| |
the songs here are much closer to jams than the tighter structured punk craft granted; still all the style, dynamics, emotions, lyrics and overral vibe put together more than makes-up for how sparse and free-form the record is imo, I'd say it's almost an enhancement

yeah that's my problem with the album as well. every track but the closer could be about half its length and i wouldn't complain

I would
|

same, I'd miss every second here tbh (even For Dinner adds a few spices despite being naturaly the worst track)

'yeah that's my problem with the album as well. every track but the closer could be about half its length and i wouldn't complain'
exactly. plus the quiet LOUD quiet LOUD thing gets tiring after every single bloody track on the album is based on it. honestly i think this is one of those records where its classic status rests on its influence rather than its quality - the shape of jazz to come is a similar case
also, talk talk invented post rock not these guys and are 100000X better anyway
|

wholeheartedley disagreed
also:
*"Bark Psychosis invented post-rock not these guys and are 100000X better anyway"
corrected and agreed
