It’s a lie!
A kiss with open eyes
And she’s not breathing back

Drugs or Me doesn't do anything for me lyrically, but I've never been in the position to have a friend addicted to drugs. It's just kind of there, and I can't tell if it's poignant or trite

It’s very direct and maybe that works against it. I was never addicted to pain killers but I came dangerously close once and I can tell that’s how my parents felt.
It’s kinda like a “you had to be there” song

That's fair. It's why I'd never say the lyrics are bad. Just doesn't work for me as much as it should. Musically it's right up my alley though

Album is basically perfect yeah. I love this slower and more reflective sound for Jimmy. This and Integrity Blues are their best to me.
