I need to hear Somewhere in Time and Peace of Mind at some point.
Seventh Son was always my favourite, but this and Powerslave also go hard. Also their debut which might match them in quality for me, crazy as that sounds

“yes total eclipse is another hard banger and a head scratcher that it wasn't included on the album proper“
apparently they had to choose between eclipse and gangland for the album and the other for the b side for the rtth single. even the band has said they made the wrong choice.
total eclipse was included in the original japanese pressings of the album though

22 has become my favorite song on here, what a ripper! I remember I must have been 11 years old or so and i saw that one of their songs was titled as an address. Thought it was sick!!

I might be underrating this a little. Hallowed goes pretty hard. I'm not really a fan of the opener, Gangland or Run to the Hills to varying degrees tho.

Try revisiting them later. Maiden was like a 2.5 band for me for a solid decade or so. Or, just replay them multiple times--repetition legitimizes!

I also recommend playing them multiple times.

I mean this is AT LEAST my third attempt and I know them somewhat as a by-product / from exposure as a youth, in addition. A long time in-between each stint.
