i wanna compare it to the new coheed album for how much modern pop influence i hear on this being used in this context and i def think i enjoyed this more than that.

does anyone else think andrew sounds out of place in Swallowed By Eternity? like i wish it was Mess or just instrumental for that part tbh (even though til sounds great when he comes back in). it might just be me though cuz it's not objectively bad just feels like it doesn't fit. song is absolutely insane though. most intense thing they've given us since Man of the Year

Really liked what they did with Andrew. Very impressed with Mingus' drumming too, dude hasn't sounded this energized in like a decade.

For The Jeers has gotta be the catchiest thing these guys have done in forever.

sounds like it should just replace the existence of One In A Million.

only thing I think i hate is the verse melody in Two Secret Weapons (whichever track is right after Die Another Day) but there were better ones to come. Die Another Day through Polka Dot Dobins is probs the worst run/what would easily be on the chopping block.

it's a dgd album all right. I for one am absolutely blindsided by the lack of anything new whatsoever

nothing drastically different, definitely just more DGD. Polka Dot Dobins and Die Another Day were like...painfully DGD with very little to make them stand out

That was grating to say the least, could barely make it through Afterburner when it came out but the new one is just bad on a whole new level for the Tilian era. Even Will's guitar (not sure how much of it is him since Andrew apparently wrote along) is just.. Kind of there, noodling out I suppose. The only standout thing for me was the drumming, really.

These last few takes are what I was expecting based on the singles if I’m honest
