Literally the only thing about Riot that's better than this is the instrumentation that came with it being punk rock instead of pop. Also has more attitude I guess even if it's high school-ish. This album is more consistent (with the exception of Ain't It Fun, which is fucking awful), has catchier melodies, and better production. Riot benefited from coming out at the band's (and genre's) peak of popularity, so it's success is exaggerated; this album came out after the pop-punk movement and it's faults are overblown.

Yeah Ain't it Fun is just really fun, I love the self-depreciation of the lyrics and delivery. It's so over-the-top but it fits the maximalist variety of this album
