Fair enough, mid 2000s metalcore did pretty much stem a lot from melodeath

That solo on The Plague is fucking bananas.

The Plague has so many twists and turns. It starts off so heavy and in your face, then to some melodeath riffage, then to some nice melodic parts, then the solo, then right back to in your face heavy riffage. Such a good fucking song

The clean vocals are a bit annoying but this has some great riffs

tim's vocals are some of the best in the genre and imo in the whole metal world. he's got this amazing power to his screams and they're just fuckin brutal. like beyond our suffering kicks ass.

I really hope they do more songs like Condemned and Without Conclusion on their new album. Keep that clean chorus bullshit to a minimum please.

Same, songs like The Plague and Condemned really hit hard
They really tried to force a clean chorus into every song on the next album, and it suffered because of it
|
| |
Yea I really don't care for the cleans when it comes to these guys. I did like Cliff's clean vocals tho. Especially on songs like Confined and Through Struggle.

Awakened sounds autopilot as fuck.
