This record's reception couldn't be any more bloated here. Jenkins was 33 years old when this came out. You'd think he was 18 and getting over his first breakup.

It may not be praised quite as much elsewhere, but in general it seems to be very highly regarded.

"You'd think he was 18 and getting over his first breakup."
Gotta disagree hard with this. This isn't your typical "oh my relationship ended and it sucks" sort of thing. It goes deeper than that, and it also touches on way more than just a breakup.

Average was closer to a 4 about 5 years ago, it's steadily increased over the years and may have just recently been set back to 4.3

Memorable riffs, gut wrenching lyrics, melodies you could hum in your head, b-sides that far outweigh the singles that have defined a generation, and the album ages like fine wine with age, even now I find relevancy in the lyrics with where I'm at in life, from when I was a kid, to graduating college, dealing with heartbreak, the loss of a friend, it's scary how relate-able this record can be to anyone and with the ease Jenkins writes about it.
