No band will ever be like Isis ...but try these out people:

Sarin, The Moth Gatherer, From Beneath Billows

Agreed, Sarin is good. Their album Burial Dream is basically a fusion of the sludgy tracks of Oceanic and the atmospheric epics of Panopticon

most post metal, in my experience, has been very boring and derivative. Jesu, Pelican (if you'd call them post metal), and Isis being the best by a mile

Dirge is a post-rock band that needs more love. You might like them, Whoad.

It’s alright but Wills Dissolve And Backlit are my least favorites.

So Did We, In Fiction and Syndic Calls are the best imo. Love Altered Course also.

Backlit is my favorite from here at the moment. There are no weak points here though. The album is still as incredible as it was when I first listened to it 10 years ago

In Fiction literally segues into Wills Dissolve

And that’s when it goes from amazing to very good imo. But hey ma’am, I still live it. I just love it less than the others. Honestly the only song I’m actually meh on is Backlit.

Backlit is my favorite from here at the moment. T

If so, sorry for the above comment lol. Just can’t get very into that song. Maybe because it follows So Did We, my favorite song here and top 3 Isis song.
