This very much for me too. One day I just started to get it, but probably 7 or 8 months after my first listen.

With a 3.5 rating you think the album is great. That means it has clicked. Don't pressurise yourself into homogenising your opinion with the rest of sputnik. If you had rated it a 2.5 or 3 then maybe I'd think, well, you could be missing something since everyone else rates it so much higher. But with a 3.5 rating I don't think there's really anythiung youre missing. Your tastes just happen to not be perfectly aligned with the people who adore this.

I'm with you minty, I don't think Con's rating is "wrong." I'm just commenting that I was rewarded with repeated listens, as seems to be the case with many people in this thread, and thus was encouraging more spins of the album.
