Once upon a time, I was ignorant and didn't know Jane Doe was the best album ever. Then one day (today), I listened to it again, and everything was different. As if I had awoken today with a new pair of ears, I heard Jane Doe for the first time as it was meant to be heard. For 45.2 minutes, I walked in a world completely separate from this one, and despite the chaos that surrounded me, I walked on, not only unharmed but uplifted. An all-consuming euphoria carried me gently over turbulent seas, through dense forests, and across great deserts, and I experienced immense rage and heart-wrenching loss like never before. At long last, my journey took me back to this reality, but I will never be the same.
