@Lelle
woah, that actually makes so much sense. all the more amazing they were able to rework them in a way that fits with the rest of these songs. and both are simply unforgettable
@Wildcard

no worries, I just assumed you would have rated this (or whatever else I’ve seen you comment on recently, with no attached rating).

Deluxe vinyl release for the 25th anniversary is my guess. Maybe a box set?

can they just tour the entire album (and play in my home town) or something? 😄

I don’t see that happening considering they have a brand new album they have to tour for, and tbh I wouldn’t want that either. As cool as it would be to see the album in full, I’ve seen them play most of these songs already, I’d much rather see them play most if not all of Love is Not Dead Enough
Thinking back, the only songs I’ve haven’t seen them play are Fault and Fracture, Distance and Meaning, Heaven in Her Arms, Phoenix in Flight, and Thaw, and as good as Kurt is some of the songs on that record kinda need a second guitarist. I don’t even know how they pull off playing the title track without one.

To be fair, they did play You Fail Me in full about six months after releasing The Dusk in Us, and then the next night played TDIU in full. It was truly a glorious thing to witness. They played YFM in Japan and some other places too around that time.
I think this will be a Jane repress. Maybe some "deluxe" version that has extra artwork or something.

I knew that was unrealistic, but a guy can dream (we didn’t expect other things that happened last week so idk 🤷🏻)

Finally tackling converge discog. Listened to axe to fall twice, really like but needs time to grow. I’ve heard Petitioning a few years ago and loved it, esp The Saddest Day.
Anyway, I decided to start here with Jane Doe. I like to start with a bands “masterpiece” to sell me on them and give me the wherewithal and motivation to go through the entire discog.
And yeah, this is even better than the other material I’ve heard. Title track is INCREDIBLE!!! Literally one of the best songs I’ve ever heard in my life. Fantastic fucking bookends to this. Not gonna rate it just yet. Want to give it at least a half dozen more spins.

Been stuck on poison the well as I did my very first discog run on them recently. Instantly shot to one of my favorite bands status. Hoping Converge can reach those heights for me since I’m seeing them next month. So far I really like them, but this shit will take more time to digest than your average band I think.

Jump around until you find an album of theirs you really love and eventually the other ones will click too.

True, I didn't fuck with Jane Doe for YEARS until Axe To Fall came out and then I revisited this and realized I was a big dumb dumb
