The last four tracks on this thing make me consider 5’ing it

When people talk about Zorn they only talk about his grindcore albums. His best stuff was prior to Naked City.
Also his pre naked city Ornette Coleman tribute album Spy vs. Spy deserves more attention. Its a slight transition point to torture Garden's grindcore.

Usually, albums I like from the start are soon getting boring pretty and vice versa - don't know why. But this thing is different and I love it.

I'm starting to get a bit sad that the middle of this album (lord's song-the reason they hate me) is not as great as the rest hm
|
| |
Lords song, while good, is the only lull in the album for me, and the only song on the album that makes my attention drift.

This album is something I've never heard before in music. Sci-fi horror films, maybe.

flammable man gives me the big Bonhoeffer because it has a breakdown for nerd button artsy fartsy free jazz assholes and also a breakdown for people who wear flatcaps backwards and are way too skinny for that wife beater

Are people shit/-talking The Reason They Hate Me? Track is straight fire
|

A true 'sit down' album if ever there was one.
Not an enjoyable listen but an essential one nonetheless.
|

Yeah The Reason They Hate Me is the best song here by a mile, only other one that comes close is Satan in the Wait.

and City Song, Flammable Man, Daughter, Ocean Song, Guest House, etc.
