Studio version of Rylan is absolutely glorious and made me quite emotional

Half way through a first run and this has way exceeded my expectations. Singles are far and away the least interesting tracks I think. I think I'm hittin a wall...

Quiet Light is disappointingly great. This album might actually be good...

A couple tracks feel a little like misfires, but time will tell how they fit into the larger scheme of things. (Same goes for the couple of awkward shots on the film). Overall, I really love how sprawling this is and the range of sonic territory they cover. Considering that around TWFM the fear was that the National had settled into doing, well, National-By-the-Numbers, I love the ambition of this project. And Rylan could go down as their signature song. It's effortless and beautiful. Can't believe how good the album version is.

I'll watch the film first if that's the best way, Row. Just jamming Alligator now as I'll wait 'till I can give it my full focus. Maybe the excitement is getting to me but had to bump that one up
