My generation, or a large part of it, always thought this album was a masterpiece, but then it lost some credibility over the years, I guess. In my opinion, that's because it's a bridge album - between the old and the new (post-Human) DM.

Anyways I always liked this album but over time I just started to realize how absolutely hard it fucking rips. It has my favorite Chuck vox, all the riffs on the album are stellar and they're so pissed it doesn't get much more cathartic than this. Plus the solos rip face
