It depends really. Probably not a bad thing. you should try one though.

Not really, while no APs is not going to get you into any Ivy leagues, It really isn't worth the stress unless your committed to the field
that a class pertains to. What matters most is an upward trend of your grades over the year and other things that make you stand out
from the rest of the crowd

this is probably why you're teachers are pushing to go into ivy league bullshit. my school didn't even offer more than 1 ap class in freshman year, 3 in sophomore, and then the remaining 13 or in junior and senior year.
