I have this argument with a friend all the time. He got into Northlane when Marcus came in and swears that they're way better with him. My position was l knew about them when this came out so l am biased to Adrian.

Ive seen both of them live, to be honest Marcus is crushing it live, Adrian had his struggles. Lyrical there is no comparison, for me Adrians and Garrett Russells lyrics are the strongest in all of metalcore.

As somebody who's first introduction to Northlane was Node and found it so terrible my only return to them was more out of curiosity than anything with 'Alien' trying to figure out why these insane fanboys had such an obsession over this band. Which, when it comes to Alien and Marcus, is still a mystery to me. I can absolutely confirm that Adrian-era is the superior version of this band. This album is actually pretty good.
