"Supertwister is probably second to Lady Fantasy for me."
On some days, it could be for me, too. The song is so much fun. I like how flute-driven it is.

If you love Supertwister the song, you would definitely love Maneige the band.

Nice! I have Les Porches rated, so I know I listened to it at some point, but I need to revisit it. Anything else from their discography that you'd recommend?

While they're all great, Ni Vent...Ni Nouvelle is my favourite album followed by Les Porches. After I'd go with their s/t, but be aware that the side-long opener ''Le Rafiot'' is quite quirky and chahotic, but the rest is really out standing. After, go with Libre-Service, another classic. You can find them on Spotify. I also really dig both Montreal 6 am, and Images, but I think they're hard to find in the internet. I have a physical copy of both of them in vinyl. So pick up all you can find by them ;)

Thanks, Jethro! I jumped into Ni Vent...Ni Nouvelle. I'm about halfway through it now. It's excellent, so much momentum, and the flute is everywhere! Could be a newfound favorite. I'm going to try to absorb what I can of their discog today. Thanks for the recommendation!

Thank you so much for showing this band.

@bnelso, glad you dig Maneige. Hope you'll find all of them albums.
@Totengott, you're welcome. Band is quite obscure although they are praised here in Québec, my province. That's why they are rather unknown here on Sputnik. Every Camel fans should know and love them, for sure. So you guys help me to spread the love ;)

Would love to own Les Porches on vinyl. The girlfriend's dad has it and lent it to me a few years ago since he knew I liked prog and I've loved the band ever since.
So far I've managed to snag the s/t and Libre Service at a local record store

Libre Service takes more time to sink in. It's half keyboard and half flutes centered album. A little more ''pop'', but you can find some classic prog tracks too.
On the other hand, the s/t has a side-long eccentric, chaotic track called ''Le Rafiot'', but when you get passed that track, album is very enjoyable. There is a track called ''Galerie III'' that doent figure on Spotify. I hate it when there are missing some tracks. It's an incomplete listen when it happens.

I will! They definitely deserve more attention.
