I used to dislike them when I was a wee lass too, but I dig it now. You will come out of your ironic chrysalis in time, young caterpie.

My desktop background as of now. One of the most beautiful pieces of art I know, along with it's successor...

Yeah, I guess I'm a little biased because of the music that I associate with it, but it fits so well, too. The first sounds of this album in combination with the cover is just enough to make me love it even more than I already do.

"politically correct nazi"
okay
on topic: the track Circe Poisoning the Sea from the Alcest/Les Discret split ep would have fit pretty well between Écailles Pt. 2 and Percées. I sometimes put it there when I listen to this.

This is so good. I heard they are playing stuff from this album on tour, hope I can hear either Ecailles or the closing track when I see them next month.

As much as I like this album, the middle tracks don't do much for me. Tracks 1,2 and the closer are world class, but the middle of the album leaves me underwhelmed. Maybe it will grow on me.

I used to feel the same way but then they grew a lot, one of the best albums ever

Yeah whole album is perfect.

I used to feel that way too. I think the different style of the middle tracks just threw me off. Love the whole thing now.

I've enjoyed Lantlos, especially .neon, but what will always put that album behind all of Alcest work for me is that Alcest always seems so focused with a set atmosphere for every release while Lantlos albums (with or without Neige) seem like experimental projects and not nearly as cohesive.
