controversial opinion alert:



this is Metallica's best album from a guitar solo standpoint (mainly due to The God That Failed, My Friend of Misery and The Unforgiven). MoP is close.



even if my favorite Metallica solos are actually Disposable Heroes, Fade to Black and Master of Puppets.

Master I would concede, not Justice. RtL has amazing solos but more one dimensional. this album is Kirk at his best, meaning his catchiest/most lyrical. Sure he shreds more on RtL and Justice, but Kirk is not a great shredder compared with others in the genre. I want to hear him doing the creative shit like on My Friend of Misery. no one else sounded like that
