sue me young’n. I was once young and horny in 2006 trying to get laid cuz she like underoath (like 2 songs at best, scene posers what can you do). I bought the CDs, I saw them at mayhem fest, I caught the drumsticks, I’m also from Florida, I lived it. They lowkey brought back the Jesus on Lost, the production choices aren’t my favorite, etc, it didn’t grab me. Disambiguation was more interesting to me.

Yeah Disambiguation was much better. Actually fantastic.

As much as it pains me to say, this has kinda grown off me the past few years. Still a rad album but I don't return to it nearly as much as I used to

tied 2nd for me still goes so hard tho. godly opening duo, fault line's got a stupidly catchy hook before shifting up into a huge back half, emergency broadcast/only survivor are one of their coolest and most dynamic mid album 1+2 combos (in addition to probably being the albums peak), and then trades off banger after banger before hitting that incredible closing trio

for whatever reason despite all that i dont listen to this as much as dtgl/disam lol but whenever i do throw it on im still blown away by how sick it is

Good album for sure but it's grown off me over the years. Feels like the bridge between the two albums that do both sounds better lol (for the more post rocky metalcore DTGL beats it and for the more sludgy core Disam stomps it)

i kinda feel it serving as the bridge between dtgl and disam is a strength bc as such it feels a bit more diverse than those two. maybe not more than disam but definitely more than dtgl which is incredible regardless but it doesnt rlly vary itself up much until like halfway through. altho granted i also find the writing very consistent across all 3 albums so to me each stylistic avenue of this album does stand up pretty well against dtgl/disam lol

I agree with Steak. This album is kind of in between their sounds.

DTGL is still my favourite.
