holy shit, genuinely cannot believe it's been wait... (how long!) since Dusk lol

time flies when you're old I guess!

not bothered by the shorter runtime and would be glad of prod more akin to AWLWLB (vs Dusk). Tentative excitement building

Why do these guys like releasing the closing tracks as singles? Who thinks that is a good idea?

The second single coming is the closing track. They did the same thing with Dusk's closing track, releasing Reptilian as the third or so single.

I'ts just me or the album is gonna be super short? only 10 tracks and most of them barely pass the 3 minutes mark

Singles are usually not the band's own choice, unless it's self-released. Same with release date, packaging, etc.

I don't mind a shorter album. I typically prefer my core albums on the shorter side if I am being honest

From BrooklynVegan: Bannon also had this to say about the album sequencing: “It does a thing that no other Converge record does—it keeps ramping up. And that’s definitely by design. Internally, we passed around dozens of ideas for sequencing because everyone interprets music differently and there’s no right way of doing it. When we do that, we always joke that we all have to be equally unhappy. But this is the one that works.”

Why are we talking about how long its been since Dusk and a decade since new Kurt riffs? Did people genuinely erase Bloodmoon from their memory?

oh wow so the title track's intensity is the baseline for this album? this is really shaping up to be like a full-blown LP version of beautiful ruin EP.
