They're great! Starkly different to Converge but still great.

I fuck with that. I love an eclectic multi-genre metal or hardcore show

I’ll admit that I don’t fuck with the bogg like the rest of those bands but I’m sure they’d be fun as hell live.
They’re actually playing here tonight but my gf wanted to go to another show :/
She suffered through Krallice and Blood Incantation with me last night, I won’t make her go to a fuckin Sanguisugabogg show lmao

Lmao! The two times I've seen Bogg they were fun and ignorant as hell. It's so insane to me they don't play with a bass player and still sound heavy as shit. We all need some dumb mosh stuff to balance out the more ambitious bands imo. Love both sides of the coin

something about the concept "seeing Krallice live although you're not a fan" is so brutal

She actually kinda liked BI, she really dug the proggier psychish bits but ya Krallice was rough lol, afterwards she was just like “I don’t get it”.
Props to her for not just shitting on it, she’s too pure for this world.

They were so amazing live that I felt bad for Dillinger having to follow them up. Hell to Pay is absolutely massive live

tbh it would be cool to see them play those songs live but that’s just not the Dillinger Escape Plan that I originally fell in love with. If they came to my city I’d go but without Greg and everything post Calculating Infinity, idk I just don’t have a ton of interest in them.

They were really fun and the Aphex Twin cover being played was huge for me but I totally agree dawg. Greg era was their best both live and in studio. If you ever saw em w Greg, you know its a high bar to clear. He also is still a mad man live in Better Lovers

extremely hard, gotta say tho these days it’s probably my third favorite. It’s weird. When I was first getting into these guys vs now my opinion on the albums have completely flipped. This used to be my absolute favorite, along with Petitioning and Axe to Fall. How things change.
I planned on doing a converge ranking, then stopped because of that “leak” that said the new album was dropping early next year so I figured I’d wait. But Xing said in another thread that Jacob hasn’t even finished recording vocals so I think we’re still a ways away. Maybe I will do that Converge ranking. I know there’s a shit ton of them because these guys were the sput darlings once upon a time, but they’re my absolute favorite band ever so I think ill throw my hat into the ring.
