I stopped letting sports dictate my happiness after the Falcons turbo-choked the Super Bowl in 2016. That game changed my relationship with sports forever.

Last NFL game i was at was the Jags v Jets game last year in the pouring rain. Was fun laughing at all my miserable Jets-fan friends who were relentlessly booing their own team.

Before that was the abysmal destruction that was Pats v Bills AFCWC game in -5 degrees. However, that was probably the most fun I’ve ever had at a game.

If I weren’t having a baby in September, I’d probably have a game secured for this year- trying to fly down to JAX for a game (was eyeballing Titans v Jags in November). Still might try to go last minute if my wife lets me but it depends on how my sanity is with a newborn lmao

28-3 is probably my 2nd favorite sports memory of all time because I fucking predicted it happening.

Did anyone here mention Grossi's 30 in 30? Seeing him on Rich Eisen was wild.

I find Grossi a bit annoying but I respect the hell out of him for his efforts. Although I do like his divisional skits he does.

I’m more of a Brandon Perna guy, fucking love him.

UTree fan, haven't gotten as much into the other members of the podcast he's a part of. "Houston: The City That Sold its Soul" is one of my favorite sports videos to this day, it's just a 25-minute skewering of an entire metro and its sports teams lol

UTree’s recent video about stadiums was excellent. I miss Days of Our Steelers.

That's peak NFL content lol, we'd need more drama to pull that off and I don't know if a team since then has had that level of chaos.

Cards are just kinda sad. In their situation, they're gonna be bad for a hot minute, especially with that contract for Kyler. If he doesn't start turning into Mahomes and if the org doesn't get him some stud receiving talent, yikes...

lol yeah pretty wild he got a new job so fast after Big Red took a hacksaw to his defense. The whole "It was the turf!" narrative is giving the dude plenty of leeway.

Like conditions weren't ideal, but y'all played on the same surface...

Grossi is a great dude. I had a weekly Falcons podcast many years ago, and Tom had me on his podcast as a guest. Extremely gracious and kind dude who made sure I was comfortable and prepared to be on, what was at the time, a relatively bigger podcast than my own. Always happy to see him continuing to gain traction.

I love seeing people act like this was a huge unprecedented prediction when every Falcons fan ever knew they would find a way to blow that game. I had friends and family at the time congratulating me at half time, and I had to be like "No no this is not even remotely over it would be the most Falcons thing ever for them to blow this", and they sure did.

It’s one thing to say they will come back but I specifically listed at halftime what needed to happen:

- Hightower needs at least one huge sack / forced fumble

- Matt Ryan has to be stupid with the ball in his hands instead of just running the ball

- Edelman has to have the game of his life and have an insane 2nd half

- Get the ball to Amendola on third downs

- James White will put up at least two TDs

- Game will go into OT and pats will get ball first and win on first drive

- I even predicted Arthur Blank coming down to the field too early to celebrate

Okay, I normally don't use this word, but CAP bro, I cannot believe you called every single one of these, let alone in list-form unless you are Bill B's burner account.

I thought the Falcons would win but def felt like if any team COULD blow it, it'd be Atlanta.

In fairness, the Titans would also blow a 28 - 3 lead, if only to make me suffer.

No cap dude, it’s still a story my family brings up around every Super Bowl.

A lot of those are pretty simple predictions given the stars on the team (Edelman is clutch, Amendola was Brady’s guy on 3rd downs, Hightower ALWAYS clutch in big games etc) so none of them are that outlandish. I also knew historically that Matt Ryan was VERY keen on holding onto the ball and knowing what happened with the Seahawks Super Bowl, I figured a similar fate would be needed. And the OT one was pretty easy because of the lead they would have to come back from with limited time.

The Arthur Blank one was blind luck because they panned to his face at halftime and I thought it would be funny to see him crushed going down to the field and still losing.
