i tried to listen to this back when it came out but it didn't do too much for me
that said i did return to this album when the new EP, and now that i'm better acquainted with post-hardcore/metalcore all i have to say is: what the hell was wrong with me? this is downright awesome.
gonna attempt to integrate "eve" and the EP's tracks into this thing properly at a later date but "eve" right before "i can tell you about pain" wasn't a terrible idea. that said "eve" easily one of my favorites of the whole bunch.
should i check out jane doe next?

I'd recommend AWLWLB, Axe to Fall and You Fail Me, probably in that order. If this was too much for you when it dropped, Jane Doe will probably overwhelm you.

Tried to figure out a coherent way to add Eve and the new EP to this and couldn't figure it out without breaking the (in hindsight) pretty tight flow of the record. Just ended up cutting Trigger from the mix cause I don't feel it adds anything, and then adding Eve onto the end of the record followed by the EP. Feels like a bit of a tag on at the end but I find it enjoyable.
