How is the production great here? The lows are way too prominent. It sounds good when listening at a low to moderate volume, but ss soon as you turn it, it sounds terrible.

I can distinguish each instrument which is saying a lot for post 2000's loudness war rock music I suppose
it certainly is an improvement over Vapor and Snakes but yes, it's not even close their older stuff

I can distinguish each instrument to, doesn't mean it sounds good from a production standpoint. Sirlord dude, how can you say the production is better than Snakes, that one sounds great! Seriously, the separation between instruments is amazing, the mix is near perfect, and the floor tom sounds incredible.

As Space mentioned, it's pretty well known that Nick ruined this record. It's no where near as bad as Vapor Trails, but it's probably the runner up for post 2000 Rush.

Nobody dislikes the bass presence as in actual "bass guitar", people hate the swampy bass frequencies that especially affect drums and bass guitar
