Am I the first to say Harvest is kinda boring outside of the solo

@Pleb my fav part in that song is actually the first half. Damn those riffs are fucking badass.

Judging an Opeth album on first listen is something even Hawks wouldn't do.
Needs time to sink in!

I love Ivy it's probably tied with Harvest

Depending on how I'm feeling, Harvest is better than Funeral and/or dirge. It doesn't have as much replay value as the rest of the album but it's far from boring

Funeral and Dirge are incredible even if they drag slightly I mean who cares they're incredible songs and far better than any acoustic thing
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
Yeah, but the fact that both drag on for too long just kinda ruins it for me and makes the overall song not as good as Harvest

Nevermind 7:30 on The Drapery Falls is just sweet

I love how the intro/outro to Drapery is so cool and unique that it pretty much transcends any genre trope

The outro of Bleak is the most interesting on the album. Definitely Wilson's input there

Bleak is amazing. They're harmonies in the middle are so good.

And if you wanna complain about songs that drag how could you not bitch about the first 3/4 minutes of Bleak??? Holy shit if they toned that down even just a little bit it'd probably be my favorite Opeth song ever

I love bleak and every second of that song. It was also the first song with death vocals i ever liked so I quite like those first 3/4 minutes.
