Even though they havent been relevant for 10 years, Cradle of Filth is truly the first black metal
band I ever liked. Once I heard Midian when I was like 11 I was hooked. Even though they aren't true
black metal, but they touch the line several times.

i know people say the shit production adds to the atmosphere or whatever, but its seriously the biggest turn off about the genre. i actually like to hear each individual instrument in the mix and have it not sound like static. thats why i like WITTR and ulver and some other stuff
