I was never big on Slipknot to begin with, so that might explain why this seems worse to me than it does to you guys

Lyrics and cleans make this horrible, agreed. Though, the music is hardly anything to write home about.

This isn't as bad as many people say it is imo. It certainly lacks the energy and raw sound Slipknot once was known for, but it still has great songs to save this from being a total failure.

Even if the songs were good on this (I mean, some are ok), the sudden change to such a polished sound relative to Vol. 3 was just crazy. It was the first thing I noticed when I first heard this album and I could not get over it.

To be fair a few tracks on here are good. Snuff is a great song. Psychosocial a Headbanger. Sulfur is good. Dead memories is great too. But ya the other ones kind of suck.

T/T is a fuckin monster. It always strikes me what a mixed bag this album is. Plenty of decent tracks mixed in with loads of absolute garbage.
