With the vocals I'm pretty much genre rating, emo vocals I rarely enjoy



With the music I'm rating based on the fact this is pretty much my most known genre, and I find the music proficient but nothing more



With the song writing and lyrics I don't think I engage with Jesse on any level

I listened to this when I arrived here four years ago, I dunno I liked Far's 'Water + Solutions' back in the day but that's about as close to emo/indie rock crossover that I've really bonded with in any way - unless you count the retrospectively rebranded good stuff like Fugazi that some people claim is proto emo



I didn't know what to expect on first exposure really. I probably wasn't expecting a 2 out of 5 reaction. Either a 1/5 or a 3.5+ would have been my guess.

Handcuffs took a while for me to warm up to, I still think it's probably their weakest closer. That said it's still a solid 4/5.
