I know you were being somewhat facetious, but yeah - the love for this does seem to be more cultural than actually based on the music imo.
Pitchfork had it number 7 or something in their Top 10 of the decade last week. It's a good album, but I personally struggle to think of one I think has been elevated to this level without due cause.
In 15 years time, people will listen to this and say, "really?"
