He's referring to the new EP, Beautiful Ruin

I just made a playlist incorporating the new EP and Eve while excluding a few of the old tracks. It works very well

1. A Single Tear
2. Eye of the Quarrel
3. Permanent Blue
4. Arkhipov Calm
5. Under Duress
6. Churches and Jails
7. I Can Tell You About Pain
8. Trigger
9. Wildlife
10. Murk and Marrow
11. Broken by Light
12. Cannibals
13.Melancholia
14. Beautiful Ruin
15. Eve

I did that too, but just throwing them in with the old tracklisting, not sure how good it is for others since the album is 58 mins long now :P

2. Eye of the Quarrel

3. Under Duress

4. Arkhipov Calm

5. I Can Tell You About Pain

6. Permanent Blue

7. The Dusk In Us

8. Wildlife

9. Murk & Marrow

10. Melancholia

11. Beautiful Ruin

12. Trigger

13. Broken by Light

14. Cannibals

15. Thousands of Miles Between Us

16. Reptilian

17. Churches and Jails

18. Eve

Flows pretty well imo

No no I've heard that argument alot. This is more consistent / better structured, that record has higher highs. Or at least that's the argument I've heard.

I think this is more dynamic/varied than NH. So your liking of this depends on your liking of their execution of various different styles on this. Your liking of NH depends more if you like the style they are doing there (and like hearing it for an entire record).

From NH, songs like Orphaned and Bare My Teeth are super oppressive in their darkness and heaviness but very melodic at the same time. The first four tracks or so on No Heroes are still some of their most brutal even now, probably surpassing the most of the shorter tracks here for me. And a song like Grim Heart/Black Rose beats out this t/t and Thousands of Miles off of this release. Arkhipov Calm has some of their cheesiest riffs. Reptilian is probably their all time weakest closer for me, post-Jane Doe.
