I remember seeing an interview where Troy was talking about how devoted Brann is to making music. Pretty cool. He's a badass.

"Siberian Divide" is one of the greatest closers of all time. Cedric goes nuts on that song.
and I agree with you Deftone. This summer my mom was diagnosed with cancer and Ancient Kingdom has never sounded the same.

Was about to say Steambreather lol his drumming on that track is awesome, probably his best performance on the album.

This is sounding great so far. Are The Hunter and Once More Round The Sun similar to this?

It's weird to say this in a Mastodon thread but the background synth in Jaguar God gives me some heavy Muse vibes. I love it

It's interesting how good Show Yourself works in the album context. It doesn't bother me at all

^I agree actually. I think the song got a little shit, but it really isn't that painful. And of all the radio singles out there, this isn't the worst either.

I had a good time going through their discography from start to finish while at work the other day. I love their current sound but I miss that grimy knuckle dragging bass from their first few albums.
After the first run-through this is my order of favorites:
1. Crack The Skye / Leviathan
2. Emperor of Sand
3. The Hunter
4. Remission
5. Blood Mountain
6. Once More Round The Sun (but has one of my favorite songs on the album "Asleep In The Deep")
Cold Dark Place would be 2 if I were to count that.
