Boo Boo.

Metacritic is just desperate to review something and call it the next big thing cuz music has generally sucked recently.

@LambsBread, I swear that Metacritic just collates all the critical reviews for a particular album/film/game etc, and ranks it according to that, as well as offering users the opportunity to add their own rating? Or am I living in a different universe?

yeah so in other words reviewers in general are desperate to call something the next big thing today, but they have nothing to work with

or in other words this album is only impressive relative to the shitstorm of terrible modern day mainstream hip hop, and anyone calling this an all time classic either doesn't know what they are talking about or they are exaggerating so people will actually bother reading their review

I actually saw a P4k review for this which compared Kendrick Lamar's albums to Spike Lee films, which I found quite interesting, if not a little hyperbolic.

yeah i did and I probably would have it as a 4.5 if Kendrick was just his old humble self and not the who people consider to be the face of rap. his music loses all down-to-earth vibes because of that for me.
