I don't mind "Team", but I prefer "Tennis Court". That's the song that sold me on checking this album out. Hated "Royals" though, and I thought "Ribs" was a La Roux song when I first heard it. This is a good album, but it feels like it'd be boring as hell to listen to live. I saw a live performance of "Tennis Court" on Letterman and was shocked at how terrible of a singer she was. Hopefully her next album lets her experiment more with her vocals, rather than maintain that same boring monotone for the entire duration.

Haha, I agree whole-heartedly about the lyrics. The music video is horrendous and pretentious too. Still I really dig the hell out of that chorus, plus I love the beats throughout. Very simple, but extremely catchy IMO.

idk I really like the lyrics. They really add to the general kind of intimate, sentimental feeling of saying your goodbyes and the insecurity that comes with getting really big and being held under a microscope / having to travel and burning bridges with old friends. and it's really catchy yeah
