Encore is just tragic when you know he was deep into sleeping pill addiction. Something was just broken in him when he made that record and I just feel sad and sorry for the guy. Delivery slurred, lazy flow, nonsense lyrics, all sharpness just gone. I'm guessing the label was fully aware that 99% of Encore was shit but decided to release it anyway because it would make tons of money regardless. It should have been obvious to anyone around him that something was very, very wrong.
