yea this has always been a sticking point with Opeth unfortunately. if you listen to his stuff in Soen he shines a lot more than in Opeth (though his drums still rule of course)

I think Lopez' performance on Ghost Reveries is nothing less but stunning though, so many nuances and such an awesome feeling. Absolutely amazing.

For some reason my favorite is Dirge of November but I'm in the minority there. Funeral Portrait is a close second. Love the guitar work on both
