the allegations definitely color my perception of science fiction but i have strong emotional ties to their music before that album, so i don't see anything wrong with still loving the music.

I mean in general I don't see a problem with enjoying the music, one person's actions doesn't have to totally alter your experience with the music, only if you choose to let it. Like I said if that's the case don't sit here and whine about it, no one gives a shit.

I mean yeah it seems the dude did some awful stuff and should be held accountable for it but that doesn't have to color every individual's perception of the art. I hold that it's not possible to totally separate art from artist but one can appreciate the art while understanding the complication of the artist. Defending what the guy did is of course despicable but it doesn't automatically make you a bad person to enjoy his art in spite of what he did.
