not like us music video on the way

while i think its obv hilarious kendrick has taken over the summer with these diss tracks... i'm interested to see how this is all looked at a year from now

not like us and euphoria are two of his biggest hits ever... but being diss tracks they surely have an expiration date right?? at what point does this all go from laughable to lame?? can he even perform these songs after 2024??

most diss tracks don't become actual hits and are never actually performed live let alone get a music video well after the fact. shit adidon is prob pusha t's most popular song as a solo artist and he never performed it live.

only instance i can think of is drake playing back to back for a couple years but that song isn't nearly as mean-spirited nor so explicitly about the guy it is about as kendrick's tracks.

think by summer's end he kinda HAS to start rolling out an album or drop some tracks completely removed from the beef

euphoria maybe, but not like us is already so iconic that i think it will last, especially because of how it has impacted the west coast culture. it's gone from a drake diss to the anthem of an entire region

Not Like Us is gonna age like a fine wine. Drake is as big of a target as you can get. Any sort of decline in his career will be soundtracked by Not Like Us. I don't think any of these tracks have an expiration date because, at the end of the day, they function just as well as great songs

pac released a diamond album like six months later is my point though.

ether is still played to this day... and is prob the biggest part of nas's legacy besides illmatic and maybe the most popular thing he's done in the 21st century... but was he really doing anything with that track 12 months after it dropped? yeah he won the beef but you can't just make that your whole thing for too long. you'll just come off like a hater who can't move on. especially when the guy you beat is more popular than you. especially in the social media age.

Eh, Drake is more popular but anyone who thinks Kendrick is being a clout vampire is delusional.

This beef has been just as much about Drake Types and the soul of hip-hop than it was about Drake specifically, so I think it'll be fine either way. It's already cemented its place.

Kendrick doesn't really speak unless he has something to say though, so I'm really worried about him beating a dead horse. Like, he was smart enough to not perform Meet the Grahams because it would've killed the vibe. Literally all he did throughout this beef was post links to his songs and that's it.

Bro you are high as hell. Adidon wasnt THAT big of a hit and Pusha has massively successful songs. Diet Coke, Nosetalgia, My Pain, Sweet Serenade, Numbers On The Boards, Millions, Mercy.1, Don't Like, Drug Dealers Anonymous.
