Not sure how having a few tracks with deftones influence ever put them in their shadow. They’ve headlined tours across the world and there’s a slew of post pandemic bands who have been influenced by loathe.
I’m still fresh on them so that’s an initial impression. But I don’t expect it to stay that way.
I trust the opinions here and suspect their sound will become more distinct for me with a few more spins. That’s just where I’m at right now.

Damn… it’s really looking like Gifted Every Strength was a one off. these other two aren’t terrible but shit man I was hoping for a full record of tracks as adventurous as that one.
I do like the less “clean” production. This one just sounds way too pristine and not in a good way imo, Still very much looking forward to hearing what this new one is like but the last two singles put my expectations in check real quick. At the very least I think the new one will be more interesting than this one.
I can’t be the only person that feels this way?

Okay it’s 14 tracks total so maybe they’re saving some of the longer and… proggier I guess(?) cuts for the full album.
Fangs and Revenant aren’t terrible or anything, just aren’t really anything special esp compared to Gifted Every Strength. That track still just blows me away and maybe gave me unrealistic expectations for this album.

I don’t see it anywhere but, just based purely off vibes, I’d be kinda surprised if it’s shorter than this. Same amount of tracks but Gifted Every Strength is longer than anything on this (and their longest song ever right?) and I reckon it’s not the only longer song on it.
