Best part of the whole album is Mikee's feature on Reptile. Really just made me want some new Sikth tho.

Spencer's vocals and the songwriting as a whole are pretty similar to how they've always been imo.

Only track that actually feels completely new and original to me is "Crush". I feel like I could take almost every other track on the album and be like "this track is pretty much old track X + old track Y". Like it's crazy how strikingly similar some of the vocal lines and guitar runs are to stuff they did on Juggernaut and P3... almost like they're plagiarizing their own music.

Church Burner doesn't sound close to any other track though.

Lol yeah. I'd be interested to know what prior songs they're ripping off on Reptile, Blood Eagle and Chvrch Bvrner.

CHVRCH BVRNER legit sounds like a Dillinger Escape Plan song filtered through the fish-eye lens of the debut album from these guys. It's fucking insane.

“its funny how people immediately call this album bad just because it uses non-traditional rhythms. completely glazing over the fact that these guys are insanely creative and talented musicians”

Have people really complained about this having “non-traditional rhythms“? There’s really nothing here that fans of the genre haven’t heard before, however much you may be enjoying it

This is a clear increase in quality from any other album of theirs. Feels so authentic in a way I can’t explain. Could be the real choirs and orchestra, but also just the production in general

This isn’t the first album to have real choir and orchestration though.

Normally I report the page-ruining, unspaced long comments, but I'd like to keep that one.

Before a potential accusation comes my way, I didn't report your comment, Deathschool.
