Sloppy was never a problem. They're great musicians but just have a history of being pretty inanimate while playing on stage and not being able to sing for shit. They've gotten better over the years though, with the exception of that Hunter tour.

I first got into Mastodon from the song "Colony Of Birchmen" from rock band and man did I get INTO them. I mostly just listen to occasional songs from the hunter and leviathan now lol

I saw them play a one off show in Philly with The Dillinger Escape Plan last year. They were tight and sounded great - Brent just does those weird cat noises sometimes. Seeing them again in May - They combined the Gojira/Opeth tour and the Mastodon tour for the philly date.
