For 2013 tho this feels kind of ahead of its time, at least a trend setter for the current crop of horrendous prog-metalcore. gotta give em credit there at least

the djent is part of what i love in this. im not sure if theyre aping saosin..... maybe i can hear similarities but its not as if saosin was the FIRST one to sing like this?

its absolutely saosin jesse's aping. dude learned how to sing entirely off of cove and anthony. hell i found this band from a cove interview where he claimed jesse sounded like a way better version of him lol. part of why i love these guys so much tho bc i used to be a massive sao fan and jesse does it better

This album holds up so well. Just turned 30, and I still get amazed by the writing on this. It ain’t the same ol djent-y stuff. I guess we gotta call it progressive metal core. Idk it’s simply too good to be forgotten. Fuck that 8-bit thing, but that’s just me
