yeah read initial reviews of critics circa 2000 and they were like 'cool but what is this. whats the
point.' then some kinda jesus effect took place and every critic ever known to man was like 'oops we
were wrong. all that stuff we said in those reviews were wrong and this is the best thing ever'

its just fishy and off. i enjoy the album a lot but 50% or more of these 5s are from people caught in
the machine that is radiohead. if this was done by any other band (hood's - cold house comes to
mind) it would be nice but not god-like, as this is supposed to be

Some of the stuff on here is really astounding. It actually hits more that it misses, but when it misses, its boring, it lacks anything to go back to, and it just sucks. It's an album that could have been as amazing as it's considered if not for a few dumb tracks.

which is fine albums can be 5s for anybody so i guess that means youre in the 50% or so that isnt wanking nonsensically to a band

The thing is this whole idea of "Radiohead is god" is by no means a concept perpetuated by the band (not suggesting that you were implying that), there's just a lot of fans out there who hear a new Radiohead album, chalk it up as a classic and say to themselves "I'll probably get this in like 5 years"

"I'll probably get this in like 5 years" lol true.

I will admit that I need to lower my rating for amnesiac cause fuck if I will ever like that album.

oh yeah i dont. i think yorke once said a couple of years back that "all we make it simple pop music." the guy cant even read music (according to wiki or something).

fans do do that, yes. and the best example of that is not really this album but king of limbs. tbh that is beyond subpar in my view (cmg sums up my thoughts perfectly, and kinda pitchfork too) though i hate it even more just to be unfair outta spite.

band is awesome though, no doubt
