Thinking i'm going to get to this. I was recommended by Doof to just skip to XO or the last album but since I already heard the first two might as well get to this i guess

Hope I enjoy it more, to me his first two are fairly dry and mundane sadboi stuff that just make me want to listen to other artists, he has a lot of great songs just not really good albums so far.

I did cry to Needle in the Hay in The Royal ... even though I haven't seen the movie yet

ALA this is still stripped down sadboi but also his strongest album, be interested if you rate it higher

It's not really the stripped down stuff that bothers me(although I don't think it helps). I just think on his s/t there was so many songs that it actively made the standouts less desirable to me and thus the album as a whole. I think that's why I prefer his debut, the best songs are much worse than the ones on his s/t, but it feels like a self contained ep.

Maybe maturing a little too will help me enjoy him more, idk.
