for what it’s worth, Sunbather is still absolutely the better record, Winona just happens to be my favorite Deafheaven track, and tbh Revelator, Body Behavior, and Amethyst aren’t far behind either.

Yeah Sunbather prob has to be my favorite as well just based on the fact that Dream House and the Pecan Tree are my two fav DH songs. But this is damn close behind as their 2nd best for me.

Yeah absolutely my second favorite… and hawx I’m kinda bummed for you that this record just doesn’t do anything for you. I feel like it should be right up your alley. Like, if you told me you were gonna do a write up after I heard it I would’ve thought you’d give it an absolutely glowing review.



Ah well, different strokes and all that shit. Did you catch them live this last tour? It was probably the best show I went to last year maaaaybe along with Blood Incantation. Both were just fucking jaw dropping amazing.

And I’m gonna say something else… I’m kinda surprised at how much moshing goes on at Deafheaven shows. They definitely have some screamo influence sprinkled in there but I would’ve thought it’d be a “everyone is vibing with their arms crossed” kinda thing.



More power to those that do but personally I just sat back and watched the performance. But also, my body just hurts man. There’s only a few bands these days that I’ll get rowdy for.

Yeah I got pretty rowdy at converge and poison the well. I usually start pretty unmoving but things take a turn at some point.

I get zero enjoyment out of moshing. I'd much rather just watch the show. The only times ive ever moshed is when I was drunk and probably wouldnt remember the whole show anyway

I love moshing when it's a huge moment in the show and the crowd goes wild especially after a buildup
