i wouldnt say shes "refusing" to release the proof; seems just like she needs a bit of time to dig it outta her basement (i think thats literally the situation right? photos are on an old computer in her basement)
also "i get it's upsetting" yea it is fucking upsetting, so give the lady some time. we're not gonna immediately lynch jesse; lets give it some time to unfold and treat the alleged victim with empathy; coming forward esp. without a convincing case (as is often the situation with sexual misconduct) is hard af so people doing so deserve the benefit of the doubt in the immediate aftermath of the allegations being made.
personally although i always believe survivors and want jesse to face some consequences, my connection to brand new's music isnt severed (same with louis ck's work), so im hopin my science fiction vinyl still comes thru the australian seller and they dont bail on the sale. wouldnt blame em if they do, just been rlly anticipating that vinyl esp. since shipping was delayed.
also still wanna watch louis ck's new movie. hope he gives that shit away for free or something.

yea in the end i think theres nothing wrong with enjoying art made by bad ppl; it just depends on how affected you are by the shit they did; ofc an actual victim of sexual misconduct is going to have a much more visceral reaction than someone who's never really encountered that in their life. so theres no universal policy on separating the art from the artist; thats up to each person to decide individually and with respect to each individual artist.
the predicament starts where you decide whether or not to support (financially) or promote a shitty person's art; havent figured that one out yet myself...altho that doesnt stop me from wanting dat science fiction vinyl.
