I even think that Heritage is one of their darkest records, even without the heavy distortion and growls.

But something different is better probably and will result in an album better than Sorceress (I hope)

This album would be much better if it wasn't so bassy

The past 3 albums are all decent/average for me. Nothing more or less.

because it's not compressed like digital versions are. plus it's warmer and more organic sounding.

I could just buy a CD or get a lossless rip or something.

The Ward really should have been on the main tracklist... it's basically the song that bumped this up to a 4 for me, lol

Mikael really did not have to care about opinions for these bonus tracks and that's how he should write his stuff in the future (that's how Heritage was written, too, if I remember it correctly).

Opeth not dying in an accident after Watershed is proof that time machines don't exist.

I wouldn't say Watershed was their ultimate masterpiece, but it was one of their best for sure

Sorceress was the first song i ever heard from Opeth, and i think it benefited me into liking it a bit more, obviously i was somewhat disappointed cause it doesn't really have that much of a punch to it per say, but i was impressed by this record overall, this is a unique album in the bands discography, doesn't sound anything like any of their previous album's, including Heritage and Pale Communion

Always dug the t/t, the hate it received upon single release baffled me honestly, because it was heavy disliking. I dig the middle part between 2:50~3:50 and I dig the final minute too

i would argue that deliverance is their least unique honestly, doesnt mean this is a better record.
