Yeah toms do sound killer here. The drums are pretty much perfect except for the kick being drowned out

Not the biggest fan of the production as well. I mean, some stuff being barely audible is kind of undermining the purpose of the stuff being there in the first place
That doesn't mean I don't see the lofi charme of this. But the lofi thing could still be lofi and work a bit better lol

Everything's audible but the kick just doesn't cut through quite enough. Needs a little more low end punch. Someone should remaster this and add a kick sample over the top of it

Yeah I’d be up for that remaster, as you’ve always got the original to fall back on if you don’t like it

Listening to Inno a Satana now and sometimes it sounds fine then other times it's kinda drowned out. Honestly, the snare could probably use a few extra decibels too

idk guys ive always loved the production on this. i think cleaning it up and modernizing the sound would take away a lot of what makes this album special.
kind of like that cruelty and the beast remaster. does it sound “clearer”? yeah, but in the process a lot of the depth that made the album special was stripped away.

100% agree with Hyperion on both Cruelty and this. Their strange production creates character and magic.
These camps have existed forever and probably will remain till the end of time.

yeah I’m almost always a traditionalist when it comes to remasters. granted, there are a few that I really do think were well done (the recent dimmu borgir remaster for example). but 9/10 times I prefer original works to stay original.

I mostly agree with this. The ideal change I have in mind is basically a very subtle boost of the kick. Not enough to make a very significant change in the sound. I feel like it's ever so close to cutting just the right amount through the mix but just not quite there. Kick samples can also be made to sound pretty authentic like a live performance
I love a raw, non-modernized sound for drums but I also like to hear everything. A great example of that perfected, albeit very different, is mental funeral

So I have completely warmed up to this. It's crazy, this didn't to ANYTHING for me a few years ago.
What are these vocals on the closer by the way? It's a fun track, I just wonder

Yea, it's fun. Who does these vocals though? Is Isahn doing all of them? Lmao
