They basically turned "Heavy" into a Nu-Metal song for the shits and giggles. Kinda just emphasises the point that it would be extremely lazy of them to write another Hybrid Theory sounding album.

that was fantastic, not that it sounded good, but their attitude and everything was funny. Still though, just because they don't want to go back to their roots doesn't give them an excuse to put out wank like 'Heavy'

yeah, fair point, rather them be doing what they want rather than forcing themselves to do what they perceive their fans wanting. I suppose I've always respected them for trying to innovate in their own way, whereas this direction feels like the opposite

My favorite small thing about A Line In The Sand is how good Mike's singing and the lyrics (simple as they are) wonderfully convey this feeling of innocence lost.

I always have this mental image of those young soldiers dicking around like every young adult ever and then getting obliterated Saving Private Ryan style. Or something.

I realize that my terrible description fails to convey how the song makes me feel. I just genuinely like what the band has managed to achieve in it.

Well, sad to say but I read that they are using writers that wrote for bieber and selena gomez, maroon 5 etc on the new album One More Light and it shows in the singles released so far

What is happening to this band? Chester can't even single anymore and they've creatively been reduced to selling out hard its awful. Do something unique again cmon man.

Has Chester lost his vocal ability or have they just stopped triple tracking his vocals. Ever since Rubin stopped producing their stuff he's sounded "off" but I think that's just how he sounds.
